DUI roadblocks and patrols will continue islandwide.

Two women and a man were injured in a three-car accident involving a wrong-way driver on Lake Shore Drive Thursday morning, according to police.

Stanislaw Sleszynski, 50, of Princeton Township, was charged with driving under the influence in a school zone and assault by auto when the car he was driving allegedly struck another car in the 1000 block of Lawrence Road, near St. Annâs School, at 10:46 p.m. on Feb. 4.

Vermont State Police in Williston charged an Essex teen with resisting arrest after her car went off the road and into a ditch on Richmond Road in Hinesburg.

John Billard, 68, of Vergennes apologizes to the family of Mary Jane Danyow during his sentencing hearing Monday in Middlebury after pleading guilty to driving drunk and crashing his car into an MMU bus a year ago, killing Danyow, his passenger and longtime partner.
